St John’s holds an annual Gift Day to raise funds and help ensure that the church remains available as a resource for our local community. The running costs of our church and its grounds are currently £70,000 a year – equivalent to almost £1,350 a week. Over the past year our utility bill has more than doubled, due to high energy prices.
Your generosity in donating money to our Gift Day appeal over recent years has been greatly appreciated, and this year’s Gift Day will be on Sunday 10th September. Any contribution you are able to make will be most gratefully received, and you are welcome to bring your donation to either our 9am or 10.30am services that day. However, if you are unable to join us that day, please consider:
- Handing in your donation at another of our Sunday services during September; or
- Posting your gift to our Church Warden Hilary Clegg (Orchard Croft, Duck Lane), our Vicar Phil Weston (14 Dunn’s Lane), or our Treasurer Keith Morley (37 Peel Crescent); or
- Making an online bank transfer to “Ashton Hayes PCC” (Account: 00033338, Sort Code: 30-91-92), using a reference of “Gift Day”.
