Phil Weston

Phil trained for ministry at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford and has previously ministered in parishes in Lancashire and Essex. As well as being part-time Vicar of St John’s he also teaches theology at Emmanuel Theological College on three days each week. Before ordination Phil worked as an economic adviser at Her Majesty’s Treasury. He is married to Helen and they have three children. In his spare time Phil enjoys cycling, golf and supporting Crystal Palace FC. Phil normally works at St John’s on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and can be contacted at the Vicarage on 01829 752272.

Alan became a reader in 1996 but served as a churchwarden prior to that. He is a retired Chemical Engineer with an enthusiasm for theology and a belief that science and religion are actually compatible. He is married to Yvonne who is the musical director of the church choir.

Alan is the Lay Chair of the Chester Deanery Synod and is a member of Diocesan Synod, Bishop’s Council and General Synod.

Margaret is St.John’s Pastoral Worker and coordinates our pastoral care team.
