The Way to the Cross

Sunday, 5th April at 6.30pm
in the Village Hall

Join us for a service of reflection accompanied by well known hymns, choir items and readings as we begin Holy Week.

Some of the readings, based on the gospels of St Matthew and St Mark, will be in dramatised form whilst others will be poetic in nature. The choir will sing some beautiful pieces chosen to lead us from the excitement of the entry into Jerusalem to the betrayal at Gethsemane and the trial which led to the sentence of “Crucifixion!”

Come and experience the dilemma of the disciples as they distance themselves from their Lord and Master and the loneliness of Jesus as the crowd’s response turns from jubilation to anger resulting in “The Way to the Cross.”
