Save the Family celebrated their 40th Anniversary with a Thanksgiving Service at Chester Cathedral on 7th January 2016. There were many celebrated guests including Bishop Michael Baughen, who offered support and assistance to Edna and George Speed when they first set up the charity, and the music was provided by Graham Kendrick and the Cathedral Nave Choir.
The church in Ashton Hayes has supported Save the Family since 1990 – longer than any other church in the area. We wish Edna and the Save the Family’s new CEO, Simon Groom, all the best for the next 40 years with this crucial work.
